There is a sincerity in the music of Georgetown’s Jake Chisholm that is immediately
identifiable. Compelling vocals, memorable guitar hooks, thoughtful lyrics –
the hallmarks of a seasoned professional. No fancy bells and whistles; just
a deep, full sound setting a fresh take on the Blues.
Chisholm’s tasteful yet intricate guitar work and song writing evoke vivid
and shameless tales of love, lust and lessons learned. Having earned a
reputation as a talented and respected young vocalist/guitar player he has
carried on to create powerful interpretations of the Blues.
Joining Jake will be another “Georgetownian”. Bassist Darcy Yates is an accomplished Toronto sideman, having performed with Fred Eaglesmith, Great Lakes Swimmers, Treble Charger, Jason Collett and Bahamas among many others.
“Darcy is one of Toronto’s most in-demand bass players. I had the pleasure of playing in Luke Doucet’s band with him. I’ve also seen him play hundreds of times in his own band Flash Lightnin’ and with many others. He is 100% Bad Ass” …. Gregory Macdonald
