On Tuesday, May 26, Steve Melville’s weekly spot at Uncorked on Main will be a Special Edition!
Joined by the amazing bass player, Henry Strong from Hamilton, and keyboardist Richard Whitehouse from Toronto, this promises to be a date that real jazz lovers should not miss. All live, all impromptu, all that Jazz. Check it out at the fabulous Uncorked on Main, 6-9 pm (when you can actually walk right in and grab a seat!).
Steve picked up guitar at the age of 15 in his native Jamaica, and took encouragement from the expert hand of legendary Ska pioneer Ernest Ranglin. (Photo L-R: Jamaica natives Monty Alexander, Ernest Ranglin and Steve Melville).
He also plays at local events, and has a weekly Saturday stint from 6-10 pm at Georgetown’s The Cellar Steak and Seafood fine dining restaurant. Having retired from Air Canada 20 years ago, Steve has since applied his time and energy to becoming the guitarist that showed so much potential as a youth. Air Canada’s gift to the local live music scene.
