Sally Campbell, Troubadour

Sally was given her first guitar when she was twelve and discovered an attraction for story in song, which grew into a lifelong passion. She has been writing and performing for more than 30 years and seeking to make a positive musical contribution, with the understanding that music has a powerful effect on the soul. She is an active member of the Brampton Folk Club, performing at community events and festivals. She was awarded a Bravo Award by the Brampton Arts Council in 2011-2012, for Outstanding Concert Performance (solo/small ensemble). She trained in Royal Conservatory piano instruction and Vocal training from Joyce Britton of the Austin Opera Company.

Strongly influenced by the Singer/Songwriters of the ’60s and ‘70s, Sally’s experience with small group performance, concert presentations, special music for church, camps and conference presentations have been opportunities to hone performance skill and an understanding of “knowing one’s audience”.
Her newest project involves weaving story with themed musical presentation. Current available themes in this format are Traveler: The journey of life and growth (folk based presentation) and Abiding: Reflections on spiritual strength (faith based presentation).

Sally is currently the Contemporary Worship Director at Christ Church in Brampton.
