Barry Mulcahy is an accomplished singer/songwriter/performer originally from Ireland.

He performs soulful originals and covers by numerous established singer/songwriters such as Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell and Gordon Lightfoot.

Barry’s strong vocal and guitar style display an interesting blend of North American and Irish, Folk and Contemporary music. His most recent performances include opening for Canadian icon Valdy as well as appearances at Brampton’s Garden Square and Mississauga’s Bradley Museum.

Failte originated from a casual collection of musicians in the autumn of 1991 in Waterloo. Failte (pronounced “fall-cha”) means welcome in Irish. Currently the group consists of original member, Stephen Todd (vocals, bodhran, and tin whistle) as well as Jessica Weiler (fiddle, vocals), and Brian Crozier (guitar, vocals).

The band plays traditional Celtic music with a Canadian attitude. Set lists include slow airs, ballads, jigs and reels from Ireland, Scotland and Canada.
