The soothing sounds of Steve Melville’s jazz guitar layered over his Country, Latin, Traditional, Ballad and Jazz tracks – relaxing musical backdrop to a tapas style meal balanced by a fine wine or innovative cocktail. All happening each Tuesday night at the fabulous Uncorked on Main, 6-9 pm (when you can actually walk right into Uncorked and grab a seat!). With just a hint of Lenny Breau, this is the lounge experience Georgetown has been missing.
Steve picked up guitar at the age of 15 in his native Jamaica, and was encouraged by the expert hand of legendary Ska pioneer Ernest Ranglin. (Photo L-R: Jamaica natives Monty Alexander, Ernest Ranglin and Steve Melville).
He also plays at local events, and has a weekly Saturday stint from 6-10 pm at Georgetown’s The Cellar Steak and Seafood fine dining restaurant. Having retired from Air Canada 20 years ago, Steve has since applied his time and energy to becoming the guitarist that showed so much potential as a youth. Air Canada’s gift to the local live music scene!
