Highly Recommended – Baritone Russell Braun, Soprano Monica Whicher and Pianist Carolyn Maule – St. John’s United Church, Sunday, May 24 at 2:30 pm, $25

Second Annual Inspiring Spaces Concert Series “Music in May”

Concert #3 – Night and Day

Sunday, May 24, St. John’s United Church, 2:30 pm in Georgetown in a program of French and English vocal repertoire.

Georgetown baritone Russell Braun and pianist Carolyn Maule join their dear friend, Toronto soprano Monica Whicher, in a program of French and English vocal repertoire they call “Night and Day”.

Renowned for his luminous voice “capable of the most powerful explosions as well as the gentlest covered notes” (Toronto Star) baritone Russell Braun rightfully claims his place on the concert, opera and recital stages of the world. Locally, Russell is a member of the St. John’s Choir, husband of Carolyn Maule and father of their two ball-playing and musically talented sons, Ben and Gabe.

Style and musical elegance combined with an intuitive theatrical sense are the hallmarks of soprano Monica Whicher’s performances on the concert and opera stage. This concert is the year’s must-see.
