COFFEE HOUSE FUND RAISER FOR FOOD, St. Alban’s Hall, Saturday, November 8 at 7:30 pm, Cash Donation

Food for Life is a Halton based independent food recovery organization and through various volunteer agencies it delivers recovered food to low-income neighbourhoods, providing nutritious perishable food to families on a weekly basis. The volunteers at St. Alban’s Anglican Church and St. John’s United Church are pleased to offer this  food program for people in need in the Georgetown and Glen Williams area.  Learn more at www.foodforlife.ca

Food from the Heart is an outreach program in collaboration with Community Unity and St Alban’s Anglican Church. Within the Georgetown community an unfulfilled need was determined for a hot, protein rich, and nutritious meal for many who don’t have access to kitchens. Once a month a group of volunteers prepare a hot meal at a certified community kitchen, which is then served at the Georgetown Bread Basket to its clients. Although they have received the generous support of Pete’s Meats in Glen Williams, the program is in need of funding to purchase supplies of food and containers as this program grows.

Please come out to support these worthy causes. A cash bar will be available and snacks will be sold. A small cash donation is your ticket to an evening of socializing and music.st-alban-glen-williams
