In its sixth summer, three musical soirees are being offered at the concert salon of 157 Main Street in Old Downtown Georgetown. Each evening is complete with wonderful music followed by light summer receptions, a great way to spend your warm summer Tuesday evenings.The programme for the concerts this summer varies dramatically, including piano solos and duo works for voice/violin and piano.The closing concert of the summer series on August 12th will feature a local talent who has gone on to do great things. Matthew Pope, currently completing his Masters in Music Performance at the University of Western Ontario, will be performing works of Mozart and Faure. Ukrainian Mezzo Soprano Viera Zmiyiwsky will also be featured in 8 Songs of Rachmaninoff – a performance not to be missed!
Tickets are $30 and are on sale at Foodstuffs in Old Downtown Georgetown 89 Main Street South. All concerts will begin at 8 pm.
