In its sixth summer, three musical soirees are being offered at the concert salon of 157 Main Street in Old Downtown Georgetown. Each evening is complete with wonderful music followed by light summer receptions, a great way to spend your warm summer Tuesday evenings.The programme for the concerts this summer varies dramatically, including piano solos and duo works for voice/violin and piano. Concert No. 1 on July 29th will feature German violinist Annette-Barbara Vogel in a rare arrangement of Rachmaninoff’s Sonata, originally written for cello and piano. Rachmaninoff specialist Ron Greidanus will weave his way through the intricate piano textures for which this mighty Russian is known.
Tickets are $30 and are on sale at Foodstuffs in Old Downtown Georgetown 89 Main Street South. All concerts will begin at 8 pm.
